Bao Bao Voice
London Design Festival was created to promote London's creativity by bringing together innovative thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators in a large-scale celebration of design. From 14 - 22 September, the Festival is set to ignite the capital with a diverse array of events, exhibitions, talks and more.
One such event is "BAO BAO VOICE", promoting the unique BAO BAO bags by BAO BAO ISSEY MAYAKE. This will be an interactive multi-sensory event, demonstrating the innovative geometric design of the brand's iconic bags. This will allow visitors to immerse themselves in an engagement with the structures, shapes and textures of the bags, as if they were a musical instrument. Because the bags are made up of many tessellating triangular pieces, the bags can be moved and manipulated to take on dramatic new shapes.Using cutting edge technology, the team behind BAO BAO VOICE have created an installation where moving the BAO BAO bags in particular ways will elicit certain synchronised sounds, which will correspond with a series of diverse visuals projected on an ever-changing screen. Colours and textures, visuals and sounds, this event will draw attention to the ethereal beauty and playful nature of BAO BAO ISSEY MAYAKE.
Showcasing the vibrant colour palettes and iconic design ethos of BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE, this event will also include an installation of more than 100 bags in a kaleidoscopic rainbow. There will be a pop-up store selling the main line collection.
