Festival Season
The festival season is underway and this year some of the Selvedge team are packing up their pop-up tents, donning well worn wellingtons and taking a well earned holiday. Here’s their pick of the bunch...
The aptly named ‘Farmfest’ in Bruton, Somerset is a chance to get back to nature, sample some home brewed ciders and embrace arts and crafts in the outdoors. From jewellery up-cycling and felt making to cupcake decorating and flower crown creating, all our favourite festivals this summer are all offering a range of crafty activities to keep you entertained between their musical line-ups.
Next weekend it’s ‘Wilderness Festival’ where ‘Anthropologie’ will be decorating the café, the VIP tent and the sanctuary where ‘guests can relax with gourmet coffee and on tap massages.’ With their Southeast Asian themed decoration they will be creating ‘a magical environment where even the busiest soul can – for a moment, a minute or an hour - get lost in their imagination.’
For our final festival foray of the summer we will make sure we look the part by paying a visit to ‘Face My Paint’- a floral design is perfect for ‘Green Man’ set in the stunning surroundings of the black mountains in Wales. Here we will learn how to carve spoons and knit snoods, and after a long day of dancing we'll enjoy a dip in one of the festival's open air hot tubs. If this doesn't sound like the perfect way to spend the next three weekends we don't know what does.
