Fox In The City
Daniella Taylor and Venice Shone are the creative sisters behind the charismatic character, Foxy. Daniella’s passion for knitting has grown over the past decade and a few years ago she co-wrote a knitting book, while illustrator Venice invented Foxy for a series of forthcoming children’s picture books. This latest collaboration of the artistic duo has given life to Foxy, turning him into a cute stuffed hand-knitted urban fox. Foxy is available as a knit kit, with a range of outfits.
The Foxy knit kit has been produced as sustainably as possible. The yarn is Gossypium 100% cotton by Erika Knight, which is produced by an ethically run factory in the Hisar District in the state of Haryana, India. The stuffing is natural sheep’s fleece from Shetland and the project bag featuring Venice’s illustration is organic cotton.
One Foxy knit kit will be looking for a new den this holiday season. Selvedge readers can enter their names to rehome Foxy by following him on the Fox In the City Instagram and posting a comment ending with #SelvedgeSecretSanta. One lucky name will be sniffed out by Foxy at random on 2nd January 2020.
You can find out more about Foxy at www.foxinthecity.com and purchase Foxy kits from the Fox In The City Etsy shop.
