There are an awful lot of places offering textiles courses these days, but only few cater to students as far afield as America and Australia.

I can recommend Prescott and Mackay courses, I went on their leather belt making course which gave me a great grounding to enable me to make dog collars and leads, giving technique and information on tools and suppliers and were generous with their knowledge which started me off on my own business of MannandMoon.
