Print Your Own Wallpaper With Louise Body
Louise Body is a British designer who has been designing wallpapers and fabrics since 2003. Her wallpapers have been included in the Victoria and Albert Museum’s prestigious wallpaper archive and she has collaborated with iconic British brands such as Paul Smith, Dr Martens, Laura Ashley and most recently, Osbourne and Little. Her wallpapers have been published in numerous interiors magazines and books.
Louise trained in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University and her background in painting, drawing and print-making is evident in her wallpaper designs which have a hand-made feel. In May 2003 she received funding from the Princes Trust to start her business producing hand-printed, contemporary wallpaper. She launched her first collection at 100% Design in London in 2003 where she was one of only a handful of young designers sowing the seeds of the wallpaper revival.
Join Louise in her studio, a stones throw from the seafront in the creative town of St
Leonards On Sea. Louise will guide you through the process of creating your own hand-printed wallpaper using block printing. You will learn how to turn your design into a pattern repeat and then carve your design into Lino. You will come away with a length of printed wallpaper, your Lino block and all the knowledge you need to print more from home.
Louise will begin with a demonstration and a talk through different types of pattern repeat, then you will sketch out your ideas and turn your final design into a pattern repeat. Then you will transfer your design onto Lino and start carving the Lino block. Finally you will finish carving out the design and print your design onto a length of wallpaper.

Sounds fantastic! I wish I could fly to England on a magic carpet and attend.
