Event FAQs

Where is my ticket to an event? Please check your spam folder before contacting us if you don't think you have received your event information. 

Details of our Talks, Recordings and Meet the Maker sessions are emailed to you as a digital download as soon as you place your order. Workshop details will be sent to you prior to the event. 

You will also be sent a reminder of the details shortly before the event so do check all your emails and contact us if you have not received them.

How do I know which event is right for me?

Online Talks - We run regular online talks about cloth and culture. Our talks have continued to bring a large audience of textile experts and enthusiasts to discuss textiles past and present. Talks last two hours and tickets cost £25. You can also purchase a recording of a previous talk here.

Screenings - we occasionally host film screenings. Please note that recordings are not available for these.

Online Meet the Maker - One hour online events with textile makers consisting of a talk, demonstration and Q&A session. Tickets cost £5.

Seminars - We run one or two special seminar events each year, bringing together multiple expert speakers from a range of disciplines to explore a textile topic from different perspectives. Seminars last three hours and tickets cost £50.

Online Workshops - From upcycling and mending techniques to historic canvas embroidery, hand-smocking and stencil-printing, learn a new textile technique or develop your existing skills.  Workshops are three to six hours long and range from £50 - £225. Workshop materials packs are posted out three weeks prior to workshop date - please see individual workshop pages for more details.

Textile Tours - Our textile tours are specially designed to immerse travellers in the culture and history of textiles. Expertly curated by industry professionals and experts, our tours invite you on a textile voyage, a journey that will see the pages of Selvedge come to life. Will I receive a recording of the talk/workshop I purchased? You will be emailed a link to the recording of your talk within 10 days of the event. Events are non-refundable.
