Beekeeping is at the heart of BeeInspired, where simple living meets good design. Founded by designers Alison and Robin Derrick—Alison has been beekeeping for over 30 years and BeeInspired was born 15 years ago, creating a wholesome and effective range of skincare and hive-based products. Staying true to an artisan approach, everything is made in the kitchen and studio in Thames Ditton including the designing and printing of all labelling.
Driven by a passion for natural, nourishing, and luxurious skincare, Alison and her beekeeping partner Diane spent two years perfecting formulations that harness the power of honey, beeswax, and botanical oils. The award-winning Silky Hand Cream, hailed as “the holy grail of hand creams,” has won Best Hand Cream three times, outperforming major industry names.
Over the years, the range has expanded to cater to all ages, from head to toe—including creams for sensitive skin and a nut-free collection. Most recently Age Embracing Face Cream, Peaceful Night Cream (for night cramps, restless legs and even Raynaud’s syndrome) and "Bugger Off" body creams have proven popular and earned accolades too. The Intensive Hand Cream and Best Nappy Cream winner have become customer favourites, while BeeInspired has also pioneered the use of propolis, celebrated in Europe for its healing properties - customer feedback continues to uncover new benefits, from soothing eczema to aiding skin repair.
Beyond skincare, Beeswax Wraps, are hugely popular being a sustainable alternative to clingfilm, won 1st Prize at the National Honey Show, while their handcrafted beeswax candles reflect their design expertise with carefully curated moulds.
