Full tailored sleeves, mandarin collared round neck, floor length paneled dress with a buttoned placket at the front neck. This tailored garment sees the coming together of handloom weaving and felting, using a blend of merino wool and home-spun cotton to provide warmth and comfort to the wearer.
Maku’s designs are contextual to community, practices and individual skill sets. This fabric is handwoven in the villages of India by traditional Bengal cotton weavers. With continuous design intervention, the weavers have been up-skilled to weave wool with cotton, in order to cater to the changing markets.
This product is handwoven and natural dyed by hand. Any irregularities only add to the beauty of the textile.
