How to Make a blanket Umaro
How to Make a Blanket Umaro
-
project designed by Jared Flood
Umaro combines a little bit of everything—cables, lace, and knit-purl patterns—to create rhythmic textures that are every bit as soothing to knit as they are to curl up under. Yarn overs and directional decreases flow into staggered cables that form an allover diamond pattern, while delicate seed stitch provides a soft, pebbly backdrop
for the geometric motif. Umaro has been a fan favorite for more than a decade at Brooklyn Tweed, and I’ve included the pattern here with instructions to knit a range of finished sizes using DK, worsted, or bulky yarn. Use the pattern as a recipe to make as many variations as you’d like!
