How to make a lovebird pillow

A simple but beautiful way to add colour and detail to your plain pillows. This project is by Sania Pell from her book The Homemade Home.

Materials you will need

• Solid coloured and floral linen for pillow cases
• Pillow, cushion pads
• Scissors and pins
• Long ruler, tailors chalk, pencil and set square
• Fusible web and iron
• Patterned fabric with flowers and birds that can be cut out
• Embroidery needle, sewing needle and sewing thread
• Green sequins and yellow beads
• Green, pink and yellow embroidery floss
• Machine embroidery thread
