How to Make a versatile, rollable, long floorcloth
Runners are useful and can be rolled to store. Make one from heavy cotton duck canvas in 90 cm width.
You will need
• Prepared canvas 90 Å~ 260 cm once “hemmed.”
• Measuring tape
• Long ruler or wood offcut
• Paints, and large yoghurt pots to mix in
• Big water pot
• Sponge or cloth to clean up mistakes or spills
• 5 cm brush for base coat; a 2.5 cm long-handled brush for design
• Chalk and a soft pencil for marking out
• A largish plate or saucepan lid to draw central circles
