How to make vintage bunting
This bunting would look fantastic in a kitchen. It uses a crazy patchwork technique, where strips of fabric are layered over each other to give a random collage effect.
Materials & tools you will need
- Eight or nine vintage dish towels in different styles and patterns
- Nine x 12 in. (30 cm) squares of red gingham fabric for backing
- 128 in. (3.25 m) jumbo rick-rack, red
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- Needle & Thread
Finished size: Length: approx. 94 in. (2.4 m); Each flag is approx. 10½ in. (27 cm) tall
This project comes from A Passion for Quilting by Nicki Trench, CICO Books.
