Saturday 13th, 20th and 27th September - 2:00pm to 5:00pm
An opportunity to visit textile artist Julieta Gimpel’s studio, handle examples of her 40 years output in textile and fabric production, from fashion, to carnival costume and mixed media installation.
A demonstration on how to use heat presses and various printing techniques including transfer dyes, foiling, folding and relief effects. See how heat press approaches can be used in conjunction with other textile and fabric techniques. The demonstration will highlight the versatility and ease of use in a domestic and/or professional studio setting, providing an opportunity to experiment and explore creativity: a recommendation to any artist interested in textiles.
This is an observation-based activity
Maximum of 10 participants per session
Attendees should bring cameras and note books.
