Description (story of the item):
The modern hand-embroidered bed linen Aya aqua with trimmings is inspired by the traditional moroccan djelleba. It is a meticulous work and for this reason it requires a lot of dexterity. They are traditionally made at home by women with thread and needle. Pillowcases and duvet covers have drawstring closures.
“This style is one of my first interpretations of traditional Moroccan thread work. Upon my arrival in Marrakech in 1996, I was fascinated by the traditional work of needle and thread. These little balls made entirely by hand are used as buttons on the djellabas. The idea of transposing them to my high-end linens quickly imposed itself to me “.
