Description (story of the item): The vlisco recycled carpets are made from the rejects and waste material of waxprinting company Vlisco, which is based in the Netherlands. The rugs are handmade in the Netherlands as well the carpets are made from waxprints that otherwise would have been destroyed. Because of using waste materials the carpets are unique everytime. Here at the Selvedge worldfair we have 5 different colors available in 3 different size 130/150/200 cm in diameter, but we are also available to do custom sizes.  The carpets can be used as a carpet on the floor but can also be beautifully hanged as a wall piece. 

The carpet design has won many international design awards and has been taken into collection of the Utrecht Centraal museum, The cooperhewitt in New York and the Vitra Design Museum. Next tot that it was chosen by Kevin Mc Cloud as one of his so called Green Heroes.
