Ototoito
Oto-to-ito is a series of embroidery threads named after onomatopoeic sounds: Mofumofu (fluffy), Fukafuka (soft), and Kirakira (sparkling). The textures of these threads reflect their names, drawing inspiration from the rich variety of onomatopoeic expressions in the Japanese language.
Through our embroidery kits, we invite everyone to create unique, tactile embroidery pieces. The first series features three types of threads—Kirakira, Mofumofu, and Fukafuka. Each kit includes original fabric with designs by embroidery artist Atsumi, detailed instructions, and all the necessary tools, making it a perfect gift for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike.
For those who may not embroider, the threads are also available separately and can be used for wrapping or darning. To ensure the best use of these high-quality threads, crafted using advanced Japanese techniques, we've developed a special threader and needle. With these products, we aim to inspire creative freedom, encouraging everyone to explore new ways of using these beautiful threads.
