Rose Brown's upbringing was deeply rooted in nature, simplicity, and a strong sense of community. Her career began with internships, including at Nicole Farhi, before she took on a full-time role at a South London knitwear design studio, creating for high street brands. However, seeing her designs mass-produced with synthetic fibres left her feeling uneasy.
Rose’s pivotal moment came during a design residency with Awamaki in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where she worked with Quechuan women preserving traditional craft techniques. Realizing the fragility of these skills and the decline of the UK textile industry as production shifted overseas, Rose was inspired to launch her knitwear label, ROVE Knitwear. Her brand champions ethically sourced, natural yarns and is proudly crafted in Britain.
