Selvedge World Fair: a celebration of cloth, culture and creativity 31 August - 5 September 2021
Subscriber price - £25 when you use the offer code sent with your magazine.
Dates:
- Preview shopping - 31 August
- Workshops - 1 - 3 September (must be booked separately)
- Talks programme - 4 September
- Slow TV - 5 September - Due to technical difficulties, we will sadly be unable to collaborate with the Centre for Traditional Textiles for Sunday's Slow TV event. We will do a slow TV at an alternate time - to be confirmed at a later date.
The five day online event, will present the work of 150 master artisans from 78 countries (150 of which are new this year), bringing together varied - and in some cases endangered - textile traditions from around the world. Visitors will be able to buy handmade treasures, take part in online workshops, listen to talks on textile related themes and watch live streamed Slow TV from Cusco in Peru. Expect indigo dyers from Japan, baskets makers from Swaziland, rug weavers from Uzbekistan, and many more.
Tickets give you access to the fair between Tuesday 31 August- Sunday 5 September, including preview shopping, talks, panel discussions, articles, interviews and more.
We are currently working on editing and downloading the talks to the website and these will start to be available to view soon. Please check back for recordings and news.
The event will take place here. Access code will be delivered via email shortly after you have placed your order.
