Timeless Shirts

This book is a bridge between the past and the future. 

There are hundreds of thousands of traditional shirts, old or new, yet we chose to illustrate only a few of the most beloved and admired. 

This book is an ode to all the heroines who fought to keep our traditions alive. They clashed with cold, hunger, fear and loneliness, and all sorts of adversities, but they found ways to make life beautiful for their loved ones. 

Preserving and wearing the shirts of our grandmothers, embroidering new shirts for our granddaughters- it is a love language in itself. Keeping our culture alive and passing on out heritage is an intricate, yet such a beautiful mission. Colour, sew, be part of it.
