Laura Miles - Woven
In 2017, a friend introduced Laura Miles to the work of the Womenweave Collective in Maheshwar, India with a view to helping them to expand their collection of designs and broaden their market throughout the fashion world with her studio WOVEN.
Whilst working on this she fell in love with the collection and the idea to create a range of clothing from these beautiful sustainable fabrics was born.
Laura has worked in the field of woven textiles for over 20 years setting up her studio upon graduation. She has designed fabrics and consulted for fashion houses, interior brands, and textile mills throughout the world.
Throughout her career, she has worked with many indigenous weaving groups in countries that include Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and India. It has always been a desire to create a product from these highly specialised weaving techniques.
