In 2017, a friend introduced Laura Miles to the WomenWeave Collective in Maheshwar, India, aiming to help them expand their design collection and broaden their market reach in the fashion world through her studio, WOVEN. Inspired by the beautiful, sustainable fabrics, Laura envisioned creating a unique range of clothing from these materials.
Laura has been a prominent figure in the field of woven textiles for over 20 years, establishing her studio shortly after graduation. She has designed fabrics and provided consulting services for fashion houses, interior brands, and textile mills worldwide.
Her career includes extensive collaboration with indigenous weaving groups in countries such as Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and India. It has always been her aspiration to create products that showcase these specialized weaving techniques.
