This winter we are putting together a six month long initiative to get people making. Whether you are new to a craft or want to learn new techniques to develop your craft skills, we are hoping to be able to offer something for everyone. As the continuing restrictions prohibit us from running in-person events, the Selvedge Winter of Making will be held virtually. There will be a range of taught virtual workshops with experienced makers and designers, downloadable craft projects, project kits available to buy from our online shop, virtual talks on a range of textile subjects and virtual interviews with makers.

Our podcast will continue with a new episode released at the beginning of each month. There will also be an opportunity to share your craft projects on our virtual Chatroom where you will be able to build a craft community – sharing ideas, feedback and inspiration to keep creativity and resilience strong through the long winter months...

The Selvedge Winter of Making will officially launch at midday on Sunday 25 October 2020. We will continue to add new content throughout the six month period to ensure there is a craft and textile filled winter ahead - happy making!
